Walk part of the Mourne Wall

"What if you followed a 22-mile stone wall over mountains into another jurisdiction?"

Why this is so fun

There is something genuinely strange and brilliant about resting your hand on a century-old granite wall and realising it has been marching over summits, through bog and mist, for 22 miles. The Mournes have a way of making you feel small in the best possible sense. You earn every view. That moment when the Irish Sea and Carlingford Lough appear on opposite sides of you at once is the kind of thing that stays with you long after your legs have stopped complaining. You will surprise yourself with what you can do.

Someone who did this

Sinéad (23), Clonmel — pharmacy technician, obsessed with old maps

I'd looked at the Mourne Wall on OS maps for years without fully clocking that it just keeps going, over every summit, regardless.
